Who is the programme for?

If you own a business/plan to start one OR have a central role in an organisation/are seeking one, then this programme is for you!

The objective of this programme is to provide business owners, managers, staff, directors, trustees, management committee members and volunteers with the knowledge and confidence to plan and run a business/organisation effectively. This includes gaining competence and ability in research, planning, creating and understanding budgets and forecasts, as well as presentation skills and organising information.

In previous sessions delegates have learnt both the theory and practical implications of business essentials such as, Business Planning, Financial Planning, Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Office Administration, Communication Skills, and Legal Responsibilities. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this wonderful opportunity you must:

1)Be employed, self-employed (registered as so with HMRC) or must be an active volunteer with an organisation

2)Be 19+ years of age as of 1st August 2009 and must not be any older than 64 years of age from the same date

3)NOT have previously gained any full Level 2 qualifications (e.g. 5 GCSE Grades A* to C) or higher in any country

4)Have been legally resident in the UK / EU for the last three years

5)Attend an induction with all the requested documentation to confirm your residency status.

The practical nature of the programme means it is ideal for those who are new to, or have had a long absence from, formal study.

Programme Dates and Programme Venue

Each conduct of the programme will be delivered for 1 full day or 2 half days every week for 8 weeks

Most conducts will take place at our venue in E3, but alternative locations in London may be available depending on numbers

The programme will run throughout January 2010 to July 2011 with last enrolments taking place in May 2011 whilst places remain. However inductions and conducts will be limited to specific dates and locations

Funding constraints mean free places are limited so it is advisable to sign up as soon as possible by attending our January and December inductions.
